HugABull's primary focus is providing education about bull breeds, support services to rescue bull breed adopters, and advocacy working against breed specific legislation.

We do on occasion have a few dogs available for adoption within HugABull, however the majority of our rescue work involves matching well screened homes with dogs in the local shelters.

Due to the overwhelming number of e-mails we receive daily, HugABull has had to limit the span of questions to which we can respond. We are a volunteer based group, and can respond ONLY to those e-mails that relate to:

- Our dogs available for adoption
If you have questions regarding our adoptable dogs, most information can be found in our Adoption section of the website. Prior to enquiring about one of our dogs, please take a moment to review our "Adoption Policy".

The majority of information to answer your questions may be found there regarding our adoption policies and procedures such as: one must be over 21 years of age, please submit an "adoption application form" for consideration for a particular dog, and we will not ship any of our dogs as we do not accept out of province applications.

If you have specific questions about any of our dogs up for adoption, we will do our best to get back to you quickly!

- If you want to give up your dog
Please note *** HugABull does not take in owner surrender/abandoned dogs ***. We work primarily with dogs that are already in the shelter system. If you are looking to re-home your pit bull, please read this (click for link).

- Volunteer opportunities with HugABull
HugABull is comprised of lots of bully breed loving people who offer their time to help dogs in need and to promote breed advocacy and education. There are many ways to get involved, and please feel free to visit our "Want to Help" section of our website for more information. Please feel free to contact us with areas that you might like to participate in.

- Advice on behavioral/training areas of rescue pit bulls
We are happy to provide guidance and support to those who have adopted or currently own a pit bull, relating to only dogs adopted from a shelter or rescue situation. In the case of a dog from a breeder, we encourage the owner to contact their breeder for assistance.

- Breed Specific Legislation/Breed Ban issues
For enquiries regarding breed specific legislation and breed bans, please refer to our Breed Specific Legislation and Links pages. We occasionally provide information on the local breed ban situation on our "Current News" page. HugABull is very active in the province of BC, primarily the Lower Mainland, in working against breed specific legislation.
