Chance

Chance
is a typical situation that happens all too often. We got a call
from a friend asking if we could take this pup because his young
owner couldn't handle the responsiblity anymore. His new owner
had quickly discovered that a pup was a lot of work, and the novelty
had worn off quickly. Purchased as a "purebred" from a backyard
breeder, Chance had received no shots, no dewormer, nothing -
just sold at 5 weeks old to whomever would pay the price. With
ears the size of Dumbo, what Chance would eventually turn out
to look like was anyone's guess.Calling the favour, we took him
on.
If
ever "your loss, my gain" came into play, it should be Chance's
motto. What a great, great puppy he turned out to be! He became
a calm, biddable little chap who was extremely respectful for
his age. He was so easy to train that he almost became a permanent
foster! One day a nice couple made the journey from the Island
to meet this "Super Pup" and were totally smitten. Now Nash (named
after a famous Victoria basketball player), lives a tough life
sharing the couch with a giant Rotti and has grown into those
big elephant ears........ almost.
Quote
from his owners:
"Nash is doing very well. We went to doggy school for 8 weeks
and quite often he was her demo dog, he'll do anything for food/treats!!
He loves to swim & go for walks, but by 8 o'clock he stops what
he's doing, crawls on the couch and falls asleep. Thanks for such
a lovable dog, Shaun & Michelle"
