Cooper
What a face! What a dog! How this sweet pooch landed in a shelter was anyone's guess, but staff and volunteers immediately fell in love with his silly ears and sweet grin, and called HugABull, to see if we could take him into our adoption program. We, too, fell hard and fast for his looks, and, after confirming his temperament was as winsome as his mug, found a foster spot for him in our adoption program. It seems we weren't the only ones who saw something special in Cooper - never before has a HugABull dog had so many applicants!!! Mind you, who could blame people? Cute ears? Check. Good with other dogs, cats, and kids? Check. Super Bullie? Check!!! While the process of picking the perfect family for Cooper was hard with so many great families who wanted him, we finally decided on a lovely couple with two young children. Cooper is so good and gentle with children, and has such a love of them, that we really felt it best to place him in a home with kids, where he could have all the attention from little ones he wanted, and then some. It seems we made the right choice; in a recent update, his new owners wrote: "Cooper has adjusted to our family nicely - he seems very happy to have a forever home and he's got the licks to prove it! We're so happy to have him around, he's just a big cuddle-ball and we all love him to bits. Zachary, our 2-year-old, has especially taken to Cooper . He is constantly telling me, "Mommy, Coopuh need a tweet" and then proceeds to get a treat out of the cupboard and tell Cooper to sit and "Good boy." Zachary will often climb up on the couch so that he can snuggle up and lie with Cooper . The first night that we got Cooper , I ran a bath for the kids - I have never before seen such a hillarious sight! Cooper came bounding up, and started licking the running water like crazy. He then proceeded to jump right into the tub and go crazy trying to get the water! We've discovered that he's quite the little water dog. Hoses are another favorite target - summertime walks became rather interesting with all the neighbours watering their gardens! All in all, we all seem to have adjusted well to each other. Cooper's become a regular part of the family, and we're elated to have him!"
