Dreyfus

Dreyfus was one of those rare cases where rather than finding a family for a dog, we had to find a dog for a family. Dreyfus' family initially applied to adopt Rush'n from us, and were terribly disappointed when they learned Rush'n could not join their family due to their having a cat. The search was on for an American Bulldog that would not consider their sweet senior kitty as "fast food", and who would be suitable for a family with three children. Our efforts soon led us to Dreyfus (formerly Oso), a beautiful BIG American Bulldog being fostered in Olympia, Washington, through Recycle-a-Bull Rescue. After sorting out the details, it was time for a road trip! The entire family, with HugABull Co-Director in tow, headed down to Washington to meet the big lug and bring him home. It was a trip to remember; none of us will soon forget three hours in a van with three adults, three children, and 115lbs of gassy bulldog!!! Dreyfus seemed oblivious to the commotion he was causing, with the children holding their noses and yelling to "roll down the window!!!", as he cheerfully chomped on his squeeky toy all the way home.

Dreyfus' family says he's settled in nicely, he's learning proper housemanners, and they plan to start him in obedience classes soon. Everyone's adjusted to their new super-sized family member, and the kids no longer squabble over who gets to have Dreyfus sleep on their bed, as they quickly learned not only is he a smelly roommate and a bed hog - he SNORES!!! Despite his snoring and tooting, Dreyfus' family loves him to bits and wouldn't change him at all.
