Loki was the mangy, flea bitten, SUPER shy and nervous 5 month old pup that came to us from the Chilliwack Animal Shelter. When we initially got him we were very "on the fence" about him because of his health issues, and severe shyness, he almost didn’t make it in to the HugABull program....but boy, are we glad we gave him a shot.
After a quick change in foster homes, Loki began to thrive with his new foster family. The scared little pup, with help from his foster brother Arlo, learned that the world and the people in it weren’t so scary after all. After many applications and a lot of "No's", his forever home came calling in the form of a first time dog owner named Kristen. We knew from talking with Kristen and after the first meeting that she would be a good match for our Loki.
Loki now spends his time in Port Coquitlam living with his Aunty Tracy, Cousin Jack (the cat) and as a HugABull ambassador, following his mom around town to different HugABull events, changing peoples’ minds about the breed. He spends his free time at doggy daycare or relaxing on the couch, bed, lap, hair, car seat, or where ever there is a soft spot - just soaking up all the love that he can get. The transformation from shy, nervous pup to the mature, independent dog we see now is amazing and his new mom thanks her lucky stars everyday that we didn’t give up on her little boy.
"I have to say that getting Loki was one of the best things that could have ever happened to me. He keeps me laughing, smiling and makes everyday of my life an adventure."
