"The Rainbow Bridge"

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

Gone, but never forgotten...

Lovely

Lovely, we didn't get to know you well, but your memory drives us to fight harder to prevent this type of cruel neglect from happening again. Run in peace at the bridge sweet baby girl.

Suede

We all accept illness as a possibility with owning a dog. Unfortunately, Suede showed signs of severe epilepsy soon after coming into our program. Realizing that even with the most dedicated care, Suede wouldn't be able to live a peaceful, healthy life, we made the heart wrenching decision to let her pass. Suede taught us how tenacious, yet how happy this breed can be, and she left us with her wonderful babies, who we had the pleasure of placing into caring homes.

Payton

Suede's little girl, full of life! You may not have looked like your mother, but you unfortunately were dealt the same illness. Your family loved you dearly in the short time you were here, but made the difficult decision of letting you go, so that you could be in peace. Play free with your momma, sweet darling!

Vegas

You deserved so much more than you were given; however, we hope the month you spent in our care helped you to feel loved. You showed us why it is so important to socialize your kind, and we know you made the only decision you felt you could. You'll never be forgotten, and will always be a reminder of how cruel humans can be.

Stella

Sweet, sweet Stella. You were an absolute doll, and found a home that couldn't have loved you more. They did everything they could to get you better, but knew you wouldn't be able to live a healthy and happy life. You were taken far too young, but were loved more than you will ever know! Rest in peace, sweet girl!

Piggy

The short, snorting, pigalicious, Piggy. You were the best cuddler ever, and even in the short time you were in our care, you made your foster home smile daily. We are sorry you didn’t get to stay with us longer. Our decision to let you pass is still a painful one, and you are thought of often.

Corey Bruinsma
June 16, 1979 - August 13, 2006

On August 13, 2006 Corey's life was tragically stolen from us. Corey was a warm hearted young man who touched the lives of everyone he met, his memory, his smile and his laughter will live on in the hearts and thoughts of his many friends and family.

Donations will go to the making of a memorial bench for Corey and all the extra funds will go to HugABull a Pit Bull advocacy and rescue organization, from Corey's beloved Taz.

Remmy

The loveable Remmy with the longest tongue! You are still treasured by your family, and are remembered often. You were much too young to be dealt the fate of cancer, but you took it like a trooper, right to the very end. Many are honoured to have known you, and you are missed dearly.

Cleo

Disease may have crippled your body little one, but your spirit kept strong. Myasthenia gravis and heart disease may have immobilized you, but your tail wagged to the very end. You'll be missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved you. Run with the wind sweet girl!
